2287: Touching the outer field wall during a match
Is it legal to touch the outer field wall with the robot during a match?<SG2>

If the Robot meets all of the criteria of rule <SG1> at the beginning of a Match (and after any robot resets) and does not pose a safety risk as described in rule <S1>, there are no rules that prohibit a Robot from contacting the Field Perimeter or extending above or beyond the Field Perimeter during a Match.
