2958: Moving Teams Across Schools

I have a new student who moved from one school in Manila to ISM. He drove in qualifiers for his previous school but has joined the team here at ISM in the Nationals.

  • <G5> a.(i) explicitly states he may drive
  • <G5> b. states he may not due to not being part of the qualifying team Which rule takes precedence? Can he drive or only participate as a loader? (he doesn't code so that's not a concern)

Because your Student is joining an existing Team for a Championship event, clause B applies. That Student cannot participate as a Driver or Coder for their new Team at the Championship event.
