2855: Regarding the legality of cooling fans
<VUR12> states that teams are allowed to use additional devices that incorporate an integrated low-power motor. Does this mean a robot may use a commercial cooling fan, powered by the VEX V5 Brain, to actively cool the VEX V5 smart motors? Thanks for clearing this up.

Standalone cooling fans qualify as non-VEX motors, fall under clause E.i of rule <VUR12>, and are not legal for use on VURC Robots.
Fans that are built-in components of otherwise legal sensors, external processors, or additional electronics are allowed under clause E of rule <VUR12>.
