WELCOME!
The Cal Poly Gear Slingers are proud to present the Gear Slingers Open 2027! The event is on a Sunday during a 3-day weekend, allowing for easier travel for non-local teams! We will have 2 competition fields, 1 skills field, and 1 practice field. There will be plenty of room, so spectators are welcome!

Weather Policy:
Our event is indoors, so it is extremely unlikely the event will be canceled due to weather. If an emergency occurs, we will notify everyone registered that the tournament is canceled. In the event rain occurs, bring trash bags to wrap robots in for transport between the venue and the parking lot, and between the pits and competition arena.

Judging Format:
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews - Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. All engineering notebooks should be updated the night before the event on February 13, 2027 at 11:59pm.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

A full refund will issued in the unlikely case we need to cancel the event.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

If a team chooses to withdraw from the event before registration closes, a full refund will be issued. If a team chooses to withdraw from the event after the registration deadline or chooses not to attend the event, no refund will be issued.
