Volunteer

Volunteers are the lifeblood of VEX IQ robotics events.  We will be looking for everything from field setters to scoring referees to judges to queuing stations.  If you are planning to come to spend the day with your student's team, why not consider spending the day helping out so that your student and all teams have a positive experience that moves through smoothly.  If you are interested in volunteering, you will be provided a light breakfast and lunch, please email me.  I will collect your name and get back to you the week before the event.  Thank you for considering to volunteer!

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Prince William County Schools has final say over all weather related delays and closings.  In the unlikely event that weather should cancel the use of the building and the event, refunds will be issued to teams that have paid prior to arrival.  Please allow up to 4 weeks for refunds to be mailed to your officially registered address.

In the event of a weather related delayed opening, the skills day will run but with a modified schedule.  We understand that teams may not be able to alter their travel plans.  Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for no shows to a delayed start event.  We will do all that is humanly possible to run a skills day and provide judging for awarded trophies.

Refund and Payment Policies

Teams may cancel up to 7 days prior to the event running and receive a full refund.  After that time period, we will only issue refunds if a team is called off the wait list and pays the full amount.  If you have any doubts about being able to attend, please contact event partner before registering.  Please see Inclement Weather policy for details concerning weather related refunds.

Please bring signed Participant Release Forms for all team members (students and adult mentors) to team check-in/registration.
