Volunteer

Volunteers make robotics tournaments possible and are essential for providing these STEM learning opportunities for our friends and family. Please consider volunteering to help make this event a success. Full-day volunteers will be provided a complimentary lunch. Click here to signup to volunteer at this event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of impending bad weather, RVA Robotics will work with the host site to determine if the event can be held on the regularly scheduled day and time. In the case of bad weather, the first choice will be to keep the event on the same day and alter the schedule. If that is not an option, the event will be postponed and held on February 3. Updates will be provided via email and posted to the event webpage on events.vex.com.

Refund and Payment Policies

Due to the nature of costs associated with hosting events, RVA Robotics is unable to offer refunds to teams that cancel their registration. However, please let us know if you are unable to attend so that we can better plan for the event. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the event partner must cancel the event, 75% of the registration fees paid will be remitted back to the teams. If approved, refunds will be made within 60 days of the date of the event (or re-scheduled date, if appropriate) or within 30 days of when payment is received by RVA Robotics, whichever is later.
