General Info
This event will qualify teams for the VEX IQ State Championship.
Maximum number of teams per school - 2 elementary, 2 middle school. A wait list will be generated should the number of registered teams exceed the maximum capacity of 32 teams. You will be notified asap if a registered team drops out and space becomes available to your team. Please place yourself on the wait list in robot events if the event is full. Please email Julia Segawa at [email protected] if you have problems getting on the wait list.
Robot Performance Awards are based on team performance in the Teamwork Challenge, Robot and Programming Skills Challenge matches. Awards are as follows:
- (1) Excellence Award Elementary*** (advances to states)
- (1) Excellence Award Middle*** (advances to states)
- (2) Teamwork Champion Award (advances to states)
- (1) Robot Skills Champion Award
- (1) Design Award ***
- (1) STEM Research Project Award ***
***To qualify for the Excellence, Design or STEM Research Awards, your team is required to sign up for a presentation interview. Presentation time slots and location will be done during check-in. Check your team's qualification match times and sign up for your interviews. First come, first served. We will try our best to ensure that teams presenting do not miss any qualification matches.

NOTE: Teams that have not checked in 45 minutes prior to the beginning the the qualification matches will be dropped from the event so that a new match list can be generated. There will be no refunds issued. Teams that are running late must contact Julia Segawa by phone call at 808-382-7561 prior to this cut off. It will be determined at that time if your team will be dropped.
Team Payment
Teams must be paid two weeks prior to the event. Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the wait list.

2:30 pm: Closing Ceremony and Award Ceremony
Be advised to have your robots ready for competition at all times. At times, robotics events run either ahead of schedule or later than the posted agenda. Please adjust your travel times accordingly.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
This event is scheduled to go on except if Civil Defense determines a natural phenomenon is eminent. Please provide the cell phone number of your teacher/advisor for the day of the event during registration, should we need to postpone the event.
