General Info

Thank you for registering to attend the first Kalahari Classic VEX IQ competition. This should be a fun and challenging event for all.
Fun because you have access to the largest indoor water-park within the United States of America. Challenging because we aim to bring the best of the best VEX Robotics teams together from Ohio and the surrounding states so we can better prepare our students for the future.

Important Reservation Information

Resort Fee of $24.99 is waived

Standard Run of the House Sleeping rooms will provide four (4) wristbands each day to the nation’s largest indoor water park, additional person in sleeping room at $25.00 each per day. Larger rooms will include a greater amount of wristbands.

Deposit policy for individual reservations: One night (plus tax) at the time the reservation is made. Cancellation policy for individual reservations: 72 hours, or more, prior to arrival to receive full refund less $25.00 processing fee. Less than 72 hours prior to scheduled arrival forfeits entire deposit.

Transportation Information

Concierge service located in Resort Lobby – individual pricing is available to guests to include Cleveland Hopkins Airport and local attractions shuttle.

Thursday January 18th Registration & Inspection 1
Doors open at 6pm.
Registration 6pm - 8pm.
Inspection option 1 will run from 6pm - 8pm.

Friday January 19th Inspection 2
Doors open at 7.30am.
Registration 7.30am - 9.am
Inspection option 2 will run from 7.30 until 9 am.

Drivers meeting will take place at 8.30

Team procession at 9.10

Opening Ceremony at 9.40

Competition starts at 10 am.

All teams will experience a total of 6 - 8 matches.

Final matches should start at 2.00 pm.

Teams will be notified 24 hours prior to the event if there is a weather concern for the event.

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds will only be issued if the event is cancelled however processing fees will be withheld from any refunds.
