General Info
The Cross Lutheran VEX IQ State Qualifying Tournament will feature 20 teams. This event has NO judged awards. The event qualifies 2 spots (Champions) to the IQ State Championship.
Teams should park in the Ruppert Street parking lot and enter through the main school entrance (by the flagpole). This is where Check-In will be. Spectators can park in the Hartley Street lot or on either street.
The Pit area will be in the gym. There will be two teams assigned to each table. There will also be a charging station available in the Pit area. If you would like to have power at your team’s table, please feel free to bring your own extension cords and power strips.
We are pleased to be able to offer Robot Skills at our tournament, which will be run by volunteers from Jenison. Robot Skills includes Programming and Driving Matches with only one robot. The Robot Skills Award will be given to the team with the highest COMBINED Programming and Driving score. Each team is limited to 2 Programming Matches and 2 Driving Matches. Teams may begin Skills matches as soon as their robot has been inspected. Robot Skills will take place in one of our classrooms.
Practice fields will be located next door to the Robot Skills. Coaches, if your team(s) is/are in the practice field room, we ask that you accompany and supervise them while they are in there.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In case of bad weather or possible cancellations, please visit the event on events.vex.com where I will post updates about the event status as needed. Please feel free to contact me by phone if you are going to be late to the event. Match lists will be generated as scheduled and cannot be re-run.
In case of cancelation, the makeup date will be February 16.
Refund and Payment Policies
All requests for refunds must be made 3 weeks prior to the event. Refunds, if approved, will be processed one month following the event. The $5.00 service fee that is collected by the REC Foundation will not be refunded.
