Battle Royale STEM-tastic - A Girl Powered Event

General Info

This is a Girl Powered Event!

Important: Registration fees can be waived to any team willing to bring a VEX IQ field in order to provide a smoother experience for the event. Your willingness to aid in the success of this event is much appreciated.

What does this mean? It means that this event was organized to create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for young women who have a passion for robotics and all things STEM.

This event will not be limited to just all-girls teams. Boys and girls of all ages are welcome to attend.

Held on the UCF campus, the Battle Royale STEM-tastic will feature a skills only IQ event. Between robot skills attempts, student volunteers will be present to talk about what it's like to be involved in STEM on the college level, what they are learning in their classes, and can provide guidance on how to strengthen your team this season.

This event is meant to get teams talking with each other, as well as with young experts in the field who are also passionate about STEM.

Essentially, we are attempting to create a dialogue between IQ teams and college students. Your team will be able to find strong role models and will be able to discuss their ideas on the STEM project, their judging interviews, engineering notebook, and robot design with students who are capable of providing constructive feedback.
