General Info
This event will be held in buildings A and B of Leading Edge Academy Maricopa. The cafeteria in building B will be used as the pit area and adjacent classrooms will be used for judges. The tournament proper will be held in the gymnasium in building A. It will qualify for the state tournement, offering the Excellence Award in addition to the Teamwork Champions Awards.
We will have four competition fields, 1 skills field and will offer skills challenge through out the day.
Teams presenting STEM Research Projects will be asked to sign up for a presentation time slot during the week prior to the event so that an adequate number of judges are available.
Teams will be assigned tables in the pit areas with teams from same schools being grouped together. Pit areas have limited electrical outlets so plan accordingly. Wi-fi is available as well.
Snacks and concessions will be available for purchase throughout the day in the pit area. There is also a Walmart, Mcdonalds, and Pizza Hut nearby. In downtown Maricopa there are many more restaurant options.
