If a team double-qualifies for a World Championship spot, the state’s next highest ranking team from the World Skills Standings up to and including the State Championship receives the invitation. World Championship invitations from the World Skills Standings are issued by email after the results of the State Championship have been posted at events.vex.com, and will not be announced at the State Championship.

World Championship qualifying awards and invitations are issued to teams whether or not the teams have expressed an intention to attend the event. Unaccepted World Championship invitations are not offered or transferred to other teams.

NOTE on STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SITE SELECTION: Choose wisely if this is the event you are selecting...  Once you register you will NOT be able to move to a different city.  You will NOT be refunded your fee and teams will be moved to the wait list if they have not completed the payment by February 15, 2018.  It is your responsibility to make sure that the payments have been processed in time.  We will use the visible record of payment on events.vex.com to make the determination.

7:30 AM Team Check in, Pit set up, robot inspection begins. 

8:30 AM  ALL TEAMS PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT NEED TO BE CHECKED IN OR WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE MATCH SCHEDULE. 

8:45 AM  Event/Driver Meeting, Pits CLOSED

9:00 AM  Opening Ceremony, Pits CLOSED

9:15 AM Matches and Judging begins

12:00 PM Lunch break

12:45 PM Matches and Judging continues

3:15 PM Qualification Matches Conclude

3:30 PM Finals Matches and Awards

4:30 PM Pits/event closes

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on events.vex.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. Event Partners will also make every effort to reach teams directly in case of an emergency.   Make sure your team contact information is up to date in your events.vex.com account, as this is the information that will be used to contact your team.
