General Info
Indian Mound Middle School invites you to attend our second VEX IQ tournament.
This is an official VEX IQ Next Level qualifying event (2018-2019 season) being held on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Indian Mound Middle School, McFarland Wisconsin. The event is open to the public and free for spectators. This is a state qualifying event. Check the awards tab for a list of the awards that will be earned at the event.
Please make sure you have a completed the online Consent form for each player and coach/mentor, or turn in a signed form during registration.
The Match Schedule will be run at 9:30 am. If your team is running late please call Alan Kinnaman to confirm your team(s) for the tournament. After 9:30 am no changes will be made to the match schedule. Late arriving teams will not be on the match list, but may still be permitted to participate in the skills challenges.
Concessions will be available.
The STEM Research Award will not be offered at this event.
State Qualifying Spot Assignments for Wisconsin Events:
| Blended | Middle | Elementary | |
| Teams | VEX IQ | Only | Only |
| 16 | 6 | 6 | 8 |
| 24 | 8 | 6 | 8 |
| 32+ | 9 | 6 | 8 |
If 10 or more teams are registered at each level of a Blended event (Elementary School and Middle School) the Excellence Award must be offered at each level. The total number of state qualifying spots will remain the same.
If the STEM Research Award is not given at the event, the total number of qualifying spots is reduced by one from the table above.
State Qualifying Spots are initially assigned based on the capacity of the event. After registration closes, and before the event, spots will be adjusted to reflect the number of teams registered for the event according to the table above. Qualifying Spots are assigned by the REC Foundation. The assignments are calculated based on the number of spots available for State Championship, the number and size of qualifying events in the State, and the historical double-qualification rates for the State. Questions on State Qualifying spot assignments may be directed to your REC Foundation Regional Support Manager Bill Ryno by email at: [email protected].
