General Info

The APPy Invitational was concieved to provide the Tri-State region with a maquee tournament experience that will work to prepare teams for State/World Championship level events. Teams will compete in alliance matches in effort to attain the highest score possible with the competitions given parimeters. Other "team" awards, such as Robot Skills Challenge, Excellence, Design, STEM will be presented as an additional path for State Championship Qualification.

7:00 AM –                        Volunteers Arrive on site

8:20 AM –                        Gates Open

8:30 AM –                        Registration opens/Inspection Starts/ Pit area opens/ Notebook Drop off

9:15 AM –                        Registration Closes/Inspection Closes

9:20 AM –                        Drivers/Coach Meeting

9:30 AM –                        Opening Ceremonies/Intro of Judges and Referees

9:45 AM – 12:00 PM –    Qualif. Matches (3 to 4 per team)/ Skills Challenges Begin

 

12:00 PM –                       Qualif. Matches Pause – Lunch (On Own) – All fields will be open for Skills

1:00 PM – 3:30 PM –       Qualif. Matches Continue (4 per team)

3:30 PM –                         Skills Challenges Close/ Qualification Matches Conclude

3:35 PM –                         Final Alliance pairing

4:00 PM – 4:30PM –        Finals Matches/ Awards Presentation

 

4:30 PM –                        Teams Depart

Volunteers wishing to assist in the event day operations/judging are asked to contact tournament director, Cody Clay, at 304-549-0133.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event that an Emergency/ Weather Event causes the venue to be hazardous to attend; The tournament director will distribute sechedule/date/site adjustements to team coaches ASAP.
