2018 North Shore VEX IQ Tournament

General Info

CAPICITY WILL BE INCREASED TO 60 TEAMS, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN REGISTERING PLEASE EMAIL CODY MIYATAKI at [email protected].

This event is a VEX IQ Next Level Competition, open to all VEX IQ Elementary and Middle/Intermediate Public, Private, Independent and Home School teams. A wait list will be generated should the number of REGISTERED teams exceed the maximum capacity of 54. A maximum of 4 teams per school is allowed. If you are interested in entering a 5th team or more, please email your request to me at [email protected]. 

Attached you will find the documents that have been created for the tournament, as well as some other documents from VEX/REC. We suggest you review these documents and come prepared as we will also be handing out 16 judged awards, not including the robot skills and tournament teamwork champions awards.

Design/STEM:

-For those of you interested in the Design or STEM Awards, please submit a Interview Request form by Friday, November 2, 2018 to Cody Miyataki @ [email protected] (Form available on the "Documents" tab). 

-During check-in, your teams will have the opportunity to submit Engineering Notebooks. All drop-offs must be submitted during check-in on Saturday or the team notebook will not be reviewed.

Pre-Order Bento:

-Once again we will be having a concession stand at our tournament, however for those of you who are interested, we will be offering pre-order bentos at $6/each.  Each bento will consist of fried chicken, hot dog, spam and rice.

-Please submit your bento requests by Friday, November 2, 2018 to reserve for your team. Please fill out the attached Bento Pre-Order Form and send to Cody Miyataki at [email protected] (Form available on the "Documents" tab). All payments will be due upon check-in by cash or check only.  Checks can be made payable to "Friends of Waialua Robotics."

Also as a reminder, we would like to run the match schedule on Friday, so please let us know by Friday (11/16/18) morning if your team will be no longer be able to participate. If there is an emergency or any trouble on Saturday morning we ask that you be in contact with myself to inform us of any changes. 

**Any team not checked in by 8:15 will be taken off the team list so that a new match schedule can be run.**

**Please bring your robots on Saturday ready to be inspected**​​
