1) Robot Skills Challenge
2) Teamwork Challenge
3) Finals Matches (number of teams to participate in Finals Matches to be announced at the event)
4) Judged Awards (optional for teams but an engineering notebook is mandatory for consideration): Design Award and Excellence Award
There will be concessions for food and drink.

8:30-10:00am -- Robot inspections; Teams get organized; Practice fields open
10am-10:15am -- Introductions and Announcements
10:15am -- Teams start lining up to start matches
10:30am -- Tournament officially starts with the 1st set of matches
12:30-1:00pm -- 30-minute break time
1pm -- Teams start lining up to re-start matches
1:15pm -- Re-start matches
4pm -- Teams Qualifying for Finals Matches are Announced
4:30pm -- Finals Matches followed by Awards
5pm -- Closing Announements and Thank you
Volunteer
We will ask for 1 parent volunteer per team to assist for a morning or afternoon (e.g., help keep the lines organized and moving, monitor practice field).
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
This venue is part of FCPS; if the district cancels activties for the day of the event, the event will be cancelled. Attendees will be notified via email if this situation occurs. There is no makeup date for this event.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the event is cancelled for any reason, the registration fee will be refunded less the $5 fee collected by REC Foundation. Other than in the case of an event cancellation, refunds (less the $5 fee collected by Rec Foundation) will only be given to teams that cancel more than 21 days prior to the event, after which time, no refunds will be given.
