Hello 2019 VEX IQ Mountain Lion Tournament Participants!

We are so excited to host your team Saturday, January 12, 2018 at Alpine Elementary School located at 2005 Alpine St, Longmont, CO 80504. Parking is limited; we suggest carpooling. Agenda

Agenda:  We have 36 teams.  We will try and stick to planned times as much as possible.  We need each team to be prepared to compete during their scheduled time to help avoid delays.  Team Coaches, please note the current match numbers frequently in order to help us stay on track.  Once the match schedule has been posted, look for larger chunks of time to visit the judges or take a quick break.  

 

Tentative Schedule

  • 7:30-8:00 Referees meeting; judges meeting, Volunteers / VEX Support arrive

  • 8:00-9:00  Team Check In and Robot inspection

  • 8:15 STEM Presentations for teams who have pre-registered (email tournament manager at [email protected] by Thursday, Jan 18 to pre-register)

  • 9:15-9:30 Opening remarks

  • 9:30 begin Qualification rounds

  • 12:00-1 Lunch Break (APPROXIMATE TIMES!!!!)

  • 1:00-2:15 Finals matches

  • 2:15-2.30 Teams clean-up

  • 2:30-2:45 Awards Presentation

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Inclement Weather and No-Show Policy:  

  • If it is necessary to delay, postpone or cancel a Vex IQ Robotics Competition due to severe weather conditions, exceptional circumstances, or significant illness, notifications will be by email to all primary contacts for registered teams and written notices posted on the doors of the school.  All possible efforts will be made to postpone or reschedule the event.

  • If a qualifying event is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled, a refund of registration fees, for a cancelled event only, will be considered and registered teams will be notified accordingly.

  • If you have registered a team, and cannot attend the event, we ask that as courtesy to other teams who may wish to register that you provide a cancellation notice a week prior to the competition.

  • If you find, the morning of the event, your team is unable to attend, please contact the tournament manager at [email protected].  This will speed up the registration process and creation of the match schedule for the other teams in attendance.  We thank you for your courtesy.
