General Info

Nesbit School is proud to host our second VEX IQ Tournament, "The Next Level". The event is open to 30 elementary/middle school VEX IQ teams.

We will also provide enough opportunities for the skills challenge attempts.

Please bring your practice fields. This year you can also pre-upload the consent forms through the robotevents.

LATE Arrivals

Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event. 

Team Payment

Teams must be paid one week prior to the event. Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the wait list.

Tenative agenda for the tournament day:

7:00am Doors open for volunteers
7:30am Pits open / Practice Fields Open
7:30am Registration & Inspection Begin
8:00am Opening/Event Meeting
8:45am Qualification matches, skills events, and design interviews begin.
12:15am Qualification matches finish, lunch break with skills fields open.
1:15pm Skills close, Final matches begin
2:30pm Awards Ceremony
3:00pm Competition event closes

Volunteer

We seek team volunteers to help with robot inspection, field reset, event tear down, and other positions.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

This is an indoor tournament, no weather can stop us!

The event partner will contact teams if the event must be postponed. Teams should make sure their contact information in events.vex.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

Event payments must be completed at least one week before the event date. Unpaid teams will be moved to the wait list and those spots will be offered to teams on the waitlist.

Due to fixed costs incurred by the event partner, there will be no refunds.
