General Info

Both VIQC and VRC will be held at the largest robot trade show in Japan on December 21.

iREX was first held in 1974 and has since been held once every two years, marking its 23rd exhibition this year. The previous exhibition, held in 2017, saw participating exhibitors from 612 companies and organizations, with a total of 2,775 booths (this year 3,200 booths are sold already) which is the largest number ever. Exhibitors from outside Japan grew to 88 companies and organizations from 14 countries. Total visitor numbers exceeded 130,000 people, and the exhibition continued to capture attention from around the world as one of the largest robot trade shows in the world, with approximately 10,000 overseas visitors from 82 countries. The iREX itself will start from Dec.18th to 21st and the VEX IQ Challenge and VEX Robotics Competition will be held on the last day. It will be enormous opportunies for teams, guardians, instructors and robot manufacturers and robot-related companies on many different ways.

Since it is the first VIQC and VRC combine event in Japan and the space is very limited, the number of paticipants will be 18 teams for each competition. In order to porvide more chance for a lot of teams, each organization is allowed to apply one team from each category (VIQC Elementary School, VIQC Middle School, VRC Middle School and VRC High School).

Also we will need a lot of experienced volunteers. Please make sure that each participating team comes with an experienced volunteer, and the volunteer needs to help for setting the venue from 18:00 to 22:00 on Dec 20 and the event day. We will allocate roles to each volunteer when you register your team.

¥10,000 for each team. Cash only at door.
The rejection is due to pay a high exchange rate in Japan.
