Team Schedules - Time Slots
Teams will have predefined times when they can attempt their skills runs. The sign-up sheet for the predefined time slots is located here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Fe4m6QnbKiWn850DkaTXJhhqAvGv3sXTKosupD002-A/edit?usp=sharing
Once teams that are registered and paid they can select their time slots by editing the spreadsheet. Each team can have one Friday time slot and two Saturday time slots.
Each team gets up to 3 driving attempts and 3 programming attempts. Teams can use as many of their attempts as they want within their time slot. Be prepared to start right when your time begins. This is Zoom call, so when your time is up someone else's time begins.
Timeslot Reservation Rules
- Each team can select one yellow (Thursday), one green (Friday), and two blue (Saturday) time slots.
- The Thursday timeslots are intended for robot inspection and to make sure your Zoom connection works. Thursday slots are only 5 minutes long.
- If a team is not present in the Zoom call during their time slot, they lose that time slot. They can still perform runs by waiting in the queue.
- If a team is present but is not ready to start at their allocated time, then the team at the top of the queue will be able to make an attempt.
- Teams are allowed to swap spots with each other on the spreadsheet, as long as both teams agree to the change.
- All changes to the spreadsheet are tracked.
The Waiting Queue
- If a timeslot is open for any reason, or the team that had that timeslot finishes early then the next team in the waiting queue can make an attempt.
- The team at the top of the queue will be able to make an attempt and then get back in the queue.
- The MC will ask if the next team in the queue is ready, if they respond then they will get an attempt right then. Otherwise, the MC will call the next team in the queue.
