General Info

Remote Skills Only Events - These events will allow teams to compete in the Skills Challenge and scores will be posted to the Global Skills Rankings.  In a skills challenge teams work alone and score as many points in 1 minute of driving and/or 1 minute of programming.  You will compete on your own field at your own location.  If you don't have a field and game elements, please reach out to me to discuss options. Referees and other teams will watch via webcam. Teams interested in being considered for the Robot Design Award must submit a digital Engineering Design Notebook AND sign up for a Robot Design Judging Interview using the signup.com link below.

The information below is being provided to you because you have registered one or more teams as participants in the TNVROBOTICS VEXIQ Remote Skills Event with Robot Design Judging. Please note that if you have not completed payment of the $5 registration fee prior to the event date, Tuesday, February 9, 2021, your team(s) submissions will not be included in this event.

Please look over this information closely. I'm sending it out early to provide you with sufficient time to prepare.  Video conferencing will only occur as part of the Robot Design Judging component of the event. Teams that do not provide a link to their digital Engineering Design Notebook will not be considered for this award. All times noted reflect EST.

Please use this checklist as a guide when recording your robot inspection video. Each item should be pointed out by the team member(s) as if occuring in person. Using the field to show the width and length dimensions is very effective as the robot must fit completely within a pair of black lines for width and between the wall and second black line for length. Please use a yard or meter stick to show that the robot fits within the height limitation. There is no expansion limit this season, but the robot must start within the starting height limitation for both matches and skills challenges.
