General Info:
Welcome to the Vex IQ remote event. This will be the first event in Georgia being conducted remotely due to Covid-19
There are Key Differences on how the event is organized and teams evaluated due to Covid-19.
How the Event is Organized:
- The event is organized fully online. Individual teams are expected to join remotely via video confernce to avoid close contact.
- The event will be held entirely on Zoom video confernce. The Zoom link and password will be shared to the registered email id before the event
- Each team is allocated a slot of 30 mins. The allocated slot's time window is communicated in the beginning of the event.
- Teams are expected to be available in their assigned time slots
- Teams will have chance to perform in their assigned slots
- All Team camera footage must be streamed live, from one camera feed, with no “cuts”
- The Driver(s), Robot, Controller and complete competition field must remain on camera at all times during the match.
- The camera must be able to move around the field, with no breaks or “cuts”, so that it can verify standard checks before and after the Match
- A Driver must pair their Controller to their Robot on video prior to each Match
- Other participating teams can watch the performance of other teams via video conference
- As per VEX and REC policy, we are not allowed to livestream this event publicly
How the Teams are Evaluated:
- This event will only evaluate the teams in the Categories of Driving and Autonomus skills. There will not be any team challahanges.
- Each team will have chance to play 3 driver skill matches and 3 autonomous matches in their alloted slot
- Each match will be of 60 second duration
- Due to Covid-19 and to avoid contact, individual team will have the option to have 1 driver drive all the 60 seconds with no drvier switch

- The team with the highest score in Autonomous driving will win the Autonoous skill award
