General Info

This event date is set.  We are still waiting on Admin approval to host the event at our school.  We have alternative local venues worked out and we will update this page and let you know when we will proceed.

We plan to use virtual judging for this event.  Please follow the judge's guide and check the official forum for ideas on how to best implement this.

All updates will be posted to this page and sent to all registered teams via email.

All attendees are expected to abide by the code of conduct  .

All participants are expected to complete the participant release form .   Once per season covers all events

Agenda

We will probably do virtual judging at this event.  Any changes to the agenda will be reflected here and emailed to all registered and waitlisted teams.  Virtual judging will probably take place before the event and will require virtual engineering notebooks.

8:00 Doors open, registration and inspection - *Turn in engineering notebooks when you register. (If judging is to be done in-person, otherwise notebook subsmission will be completed online for virtual judging). The judges will need to start by 9:00.

9:00 Opening remarks, driver meeting - Robot skills will run until the qualification matches are over.  Get your rounds in early!

9:30 Qualification matches starts

12:00 - 1:00 Lunch - concessions not available

1:00 - 2:30 Qualification Matches

3:00 - 4:00 Finals Matches, immediately followed by awards

5:00 Conclusion

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

For event day information regarding weather delays or cancellations, please check the event page for updates and call David Sankey and 561 463 8641.

If schools are closed due to inclement weather and travel is not allowed from your district to the event, refunds or rainchecks will be made.

Refund and Payment Policies

Any refunds for COVID restrictions will be given less the $5 RobotEvents processing fee.  For example, if a team member gets a COVID positive two days before the competition, and the team has potential exposure and cannot attend, they will be given a refund less the 5%.

For normal refunds:

The amount of refund depends the time the refund is requested.  All refunds for payments through events.vex.com may require 6-8 weeks to process.

Before 2 weeks - full refund

Between 1 and 2 weeks - 75% refund

Within a week of the event - No refund  ( barring extenuatiing circumstances with documentation)

All refunds depend on when event partner receives the funds, and can be 8 weeks from when you pay.
