Welcome to Engineering for Kids VICQ drive-by in-person Skills Only event!

You will receive an email with instructions on how/where to sign up for available time slots. Please make sure you check your spam/junk folder if you don't receive the email shortly after signing up. This is a Skill Only tournament where each team will be able to attempt 3 driver runs and 3 autonomous runs.

Drive-by Tournament overview

1. Sign-up for a time slot online (20 minutes p/ team)

2. The VIQC team will arrive with their robot ready to go 10 minutes before their scheduled time slot. We will have a queue table outside where each team will check in and get their robot inspected prior to coming in. At check-in, teams and coaches will have their temperature checked and we ask that everyone wear proper face masks.

3. Once the team in front of you is finished with their runs, the field will be sanitized and reset. 

4. Upon being directed to do so, team will enter the facility and do their skills runs.

5. Between each run, wait for the Ref to tally and confirm the final score before moving your robot.

6. Once the score is agreed upon, the driver will reset their robot in the starting position and prepare for their next attempt, 3 driving and 3 autonomous. Note: Drivers will NOT reset the field, event staff will do so.

7. Once a team securely leave the facility, event staff will direct the next team from the queue tables inside. 

9. Watching the event. We welcomed team coaches and team members to watch the match in-person if they choose to do so. Wearing masks and practicing social distancing is mandatory. We will also provide a live stream of the event for family and friends.

Disclaimer

In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as the weather of the day of the tournament, the tournament will be switched to a remote skills tournament.
