General Info
Welcome to the 2nd Jordanian National Championship 2021 - VEX IQ Challenge: Rise Above.
We are excited to see you soon and as we are in the midst of the pandemic, following precautions will be implemented to minimize the risk:
1) It is mandatory to wear face mask and face shield to participate in this Tournament.
2) Most of the activities of the Tournament will be conducted outdoors (Team Check-in, Inspection, Team stirilization etc). No spectators and parents are allowed to visit the venue.
3) Actual matches will be conducted indoors. At any point not more than 8 to 10 people will be present in the room.
4) Please bring your own face mask.
5) Masks and Sanitizers will be available everywhere.
6) Please submit your Engineering Notebook at least two days before the event date to be considered for Judged Awards.
7) At the end of the finals, Awards will be announced via webcast.
8) Time to pick up the awards will be communicated to the team.
Competition Preparation
This tournament is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting event. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.
1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. Please make sure to keep this in mind at all times.
2. Check the official VEX forums for rule updates and changes.
3. Carefully read all of the information contained in the tournament posting on events.vex.com
4. Pack for the event. Here are a few items that you don't want to forget.

Spare parts & tools
Batteries and chargers
Programming cable
Power strip
Laptop computer
5. Remember that safety comes first, please don't bring tools that pose a safety risk to your team, or others nearby.
