General Info
CANCELLED DUE TO COVID
Please join us for the Last Chance Richmond VEX VIQC Pitching In Tournament at Huguenot High School! This is a blended VEX IQ tournament for both Elementary and Middle School teams and will qualify teams for the State Championship.
We will have multiple skills fields available in the morning and will then switch them to competition fields in the afternoon. Once the tournament starts, skills runs will no longer be available.
This event is tentative and is subject to cancellation by the school and/or district due to COVID. Forthermore, specific COVID protocols will be in place conforming with school, district, and local policies/requirements. Such protocols may include (but not be limited to)
- Anyone with any COVID-19 symptoms must stay home and are not allowed in the facility
- Masks/face covering requirement
- Limit on number of student and adult (coach/mentor) participants
- Lack of practice field availability
- Limit on spectators
Since this event is tentative, we ask that you do not pay at the time of registration. We will communicate via email and will request payment closer to the event when we can be more certain of things.
Since this event takes place on the last weekend of the regular season and the facility is not available on Sunday, there will be no make-up date if the event must be cancelled for weather or otherwise. Please see the Emergency/Bad Weather Policy and Refund Policy tabs for further information.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of impending bad weather, RVA Robotics will work with the host site to determine if the event can be held on the regularly scheduled day and time. In the case of bad weather, the first choice will be to keep the event on the same day and alter the schedule. If that is not an option, the event will be canceled and refunds will be provided per the refund policy. Updates will be provided via email and posted to the event webpage on events.vex.com.
Refund and Payment Policies
Due to the nature of costs associated with hosting events, RVA Robotics is unable to offer refunds to teams that cancel their registration. However, please let us know if you are unable to attend so that we can better plan for the event. If the event partner must cancel the event, at least 75% of the registration fees paid will be remitted back to the teams. We will do our best to refund as much as possible taking into account non-refundable costs we incur prior to event cancellation. If approved, refunds will be made within 60 days of the date of the event or within 30 days of when payment is received by RVA Robotics, whichever is later.
As the event draws closer, we will be providing more information on payment via email.
