General Info
Welcome to the Texas Region 2 State Championship!
1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. The inspection checklist can be found here.
2. Check the official VEX forums for rule updates and changes.
3. Carefully read all of the information contained in the tournament posting on events.vex.com
4. When you register your teams, please use a cell number where we can reach you on the day of the event. Please do not use your school phone number. Please use an email where we can contact you directly.
5. Be sure to read 101 Things You Should Know Before Your First VEX Tournament.
6. Review the descriptions and criteria for the awards that are being given during the tournament.
7. Prep for your interviews with the judges. Check the awards tab to see what awards will be given during the tournament.
8. Remember that safety comes first. The venue is a very tight fit. Also, remind your teams to wear masks and sanitize every time they are on the field.
9. Notebooks will be submitted electronically via Google form containing a link which will be sent once the registration closes.
10. Teams willl have a choice of in-person or remote judging. A time slot selection will be emailed to each coach.
11. There are fast food places about 15 minutes from Rowlett High School. We will also be offering teams an option of pre-ordering box lunches to be delivered at the venue, or walk-up ordering of hot dogs, nachos,etc. Concessionswith snacks, candy and drinks will also be available.
12. Event apparel will be sold at the venue.
All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. We will continually assess, based on current government and district guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees if necessary.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
All cancellations will be communicated through email. Please check your email the day before and the morning of the tournament (before leaving).
Unfortunately, there will be no make-up in case of weather cancellations
Refund and Payment Policies
Refunds will be given on a case by case basis, minus the fee RobotEvents charges each host.

Buses/cars need to drop off their teams/gear at the back entrance of the building. This is a NO PARKING area. The parking lot for both cars and buses is located behind the loading zone.
Judging Format
All teams must submit their digital notebook after registration closes on Feb 12. Teams may elect to be judged remotely or in-person.
A Google form containing a link for notebook submission and for an interview time slot will be sent via email to all coaches.
