Hopkinton VEX IQ Pitching In December Qualifier
Hosted at Hopkinton Middle School
- a public middle school, we will use classrooms for skills and pit areas and the recently renovated library for competition fields.
- we have pizza orders available for lunch as well as a concession stand.
- all rooms are on the same level of the school.
- a VRC tournament will be held at Hopkinton High School on the same day (they are next door to each other).
This is our 6th year of hosting events in Hopkinton.

Note: All teams must be through inspection by 10:30am
9:30am - 12:45pm - Skills Challenge Fields Open
Note: Skills Challenge lines will close at 12:45pm.
Each team will be able to run up to 3 Driver Skills Matches and 3 Programming Matches.
After notebook checks, teams will be interviewed for Excellence and Design Awards.
10:45am- 11:00am - Drivers Meeting & Welcome
11:00am - 1:00pm - Qualification Rounds
1:00pm - 2:00pm - Break for lunch
2:00pm - 3:30pm - Finals and Awards

If a registered team is no longer able to attend and would like to request a refund, please email [email protected] at least 1 week prior to the scheduled event.
Health and Safety Policies
Please no running in the building. Spectators, including young children, are always welcome to attend the event but must be supervised by an adult.
All attendees MUST wear masks.

Please follow directions for:

Parking is available in front of the building. The event will take place in the HMS Library. At the main entrance of the High School, please turn right and then an immediate left into the small parking lot between the high school and middle school (Lot E on the attached map). Follow signs to the side entrance of the middle school and registration will be straight ahead. The event will be on one level so elevator access is not necessary.

Judging Format
The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person on the day of the event. If available, teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges and will drop it off during registration.
Note: For teams with an Electronic version of their Engineering Notebook, engineering notebooks will be evaluated on the day of the event and must be received no later than 10 pm the night before the event (12/10/21).
