General Info

Magikid Robotics Lab is a One-stop STEAM education center connecting our community with the cutting age of technology. 
Magikid Robotics Labs carefully screen various types of robots and programming methods, creates unique project-based learning courses, stimulates young learners' interests into passion, and provides them with more professional guidance for future success.

Live-streaming and on-site free wi-fi will be provided. Lunch will not be provided.

We hope to have some practice fields for teams but if you need a field please bring your own and we will do our best to fit as many as practice fields we can. 

Looking forward to hosting VEXIQ Teams at our MAGIKID CHINO HILLS LOCATION and good luck to every team this season.

Volunteers arrive at 8:00 AM

Doors Open & Check in 9:00 AM

Inspections 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM

Opening Ceremony/Event Meeting 9:30 AM - 9:45 AM

Tournament Qualifying matches 10:00 AM  - 12:30 PM

Lunch 12:30 - 1:00 (This may become a working lunch)

Tournament Qualifying matches (continued) 1:00 PM  - 3:30 PM

Finals matches 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM.

Awards 4:00 PM - 4:15 PM

Load-out 4:15 PM - 4:30 PM

Skills matches will be available from 10:00 am - 2:00pm (Closed During Lunch).

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Only in extreme circumstances will this event be canceled due to weather or Covid-19 safety precautions issued by the City of Chino hills. In this circumstance, refunds will be made available minus any potential costs charged by the events.vex.com website. 

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds will be issued up to 14 days prior to this event if a replacement team is available to fill the vacated spot. Refunds will not be issued after that except in the case of very extenuating circumstances at the event partners discretion. Please be aware that event partners have fixed costs and rely on team registrations to meet these obligations..

Judging Format

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
