General Info

Pittsboro Elementary is excited to offer our first VEX IQ event of the season on Saturday, December 10th!

This is an Official Indiana VEX IQ State Qualifying Event that will offer 3 State Qualification Spots. State-Qualifying awards given will be the Excellence Award and  Teamwork Champions. Non-qualifying awards for Robot Skills Champion, Judges Award, and Design Award  will also be given. Engineering Design notebooks will be collected at the registration table when you enter the event. 

Consent forms must be submitted online through Robot Events prior to the competition.

Doors will open at 7:30 A.M. The day of registration check-in deadline is 8:15 A.M.; teams not checked in by that time will be removed from the event and will not be included in the match list. Call 317-440-4012 if you have an issue getting to the event on time the day of.

Please note that our goal is to run a fun, fast-paced event. We will have a concession stand with donuts, drinks, and snacks. Lunch will not be offered as we hope to wrap up by 12:30 p.m.

There are 3 parking lots available. One in front of the building, one on the north side of the building and a further one away on the south side of the building. 

Please enter through the front doors and the registration table will be right there. Drop off engineering notebooks at the registration table and the pits are directly to the right of the front door. All skills and team matches will be held in the gym. We should have plenty of bleacher seating. The concession stand will be in the entry hall. We'll have coffee and donuts first thing with lots of other goodies throughout the morning. The concession stand will be CASH ONLY.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations please visit the event on events.vex.com where I will post updates about the event status as needed. Please feel free to contact me by phone (317-440-4012) if you are going to be late to the event. Match Lists will be generated at 8:45 a.m. and cannot be re-run.

Refund and Payment Policies

Event payments are expected when you register for the event and must be completed by November 26th. At that time, un-paid teams will be removed from the event to allow teams on the wait list to register. Please contact Julie Wiles (317-440-4012) if there are considerations to be made.

All requests for refunds must be made 2 weeks prior to the event. Refunds, if approved, will be processed ASAP following the event. Any refund will be less the $5-dollar processing fee.

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply.

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
