Welcome to the VIQC robotics scrimmage hosted by Carey Baptist College We extend a warm welcome to all participating teams and wish you the best of luck in this exciting event. Get ready to showcase your robotics skills, innovation, and teamwork as you compete alongside other talented teams. We have put together important information to ensure your participation goes smoothly and you have an enjoyable experience. Please take note of the following details:

Event Location: The robotics competition will take place within the auditorium at Carey Baptist College in Harrisdale. The venue provides an excellent setting for teams to showcase their robotics skills and compete in a supportive and engaging environment.

Arrival and Departure Times: We kindly request all teams to plan for arrival before 10:00 AM on the event day. The competition is expected to run until approximately 2 PM. Please note that these times may be subject to change closer to the event, depending on the number of teams registered. We will keep all participants informed of any schedule adjustments.

Food Sales: Food and drinks will be available at the adjacent Timber café, for menu information, please check the website: Timber (timbercafe.com.au)

Volunteer
We invite teams to contribute to the success of the scrimmage by providing volunteers to assist with various roles throughout the event. Your participation as volunteers will greatly contribute to the smooth operation and fair execution of the competition. We appreciate your support in advance!
Volunteer Roles:

Refereeing: Volunteers will assist in refereeing matches, ensuring fair play, and maintaining game rules adherence.

Queuing: Volunteers will help manage team queuing and assist in coordinating match schedules.

Technical Inspection: Volunteers will work alongside a trained leader to conduct technical inspections, ensuring that robots meet the required specifications and safety standards.
Please note that all volunteer roles will have experienced leaders who will guide and support them throughout their duties.
Volunteer Submission: If your team is willing to provide volunteers for the event, please submit the names of the volunteers Daniel Braithwaite [email protected]. Daniel will coordinate the volunteer assignments and provide further instructions.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
The event partner will contact teams in the event of a weather event or other unforseen event that affects the health and safety of teams or the teams' ability to get to the venue.
We will endeavour to reschedule the event if it needs to be postponed.
