General Info

Welcome to iSTEAM VEX IQ Full Volume Qualifier at Newton South High School (January 13th, 2024)

Open to all level teams. Everyone is welcome. Spectators are allowed at the competition.

If the event is full, please add your team to the waiting list. We may have additional spaces for extra teams.

One Pizza and water will be provided to each team.

 

Make sure that all students have filled out the Participant Release Form and submit them online.

We will warn you of the weather in advance.

Agenda

  • 8:30 am - Doors Open
  • 8:30 am - 9:30 am - Check-In/Registration/Inspection
    • Note: All teams must be through inspection by 9:45 am
    • Notebooks should be turned in before 5 PM by the day before the event through the Digital Engineering Notebook portal on Robot Events.
  • 9:30 am - 9:45 am - Welcome, followed by Drivers Meeting
  • 9:45 am - 2:00 pm - Skills Challenge Fields Open
    • Note: Skills Challenge lines will close at 2 pm. Any teams in line at that time will have an opportunity to complete their Skills matches. Each team will be able to run 3 Driver Skills Challenges and 3 Programming Challenges.
  • 9:45 am - 12:00 pm - Qualification Rounds
  • 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm - Break for lunch 
  • 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm - Qualification Rounds 
  • 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm - Teamwork Challenge Finals and Awards
    • Notes: After notebooks have been reviewed, interviewing will begin for Excellence and Design Awards.

Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews:

  • Engineering notebooks are required to be submitted digitally through RobotEvents.com. The submission deadline is before the inspection closes.
  • Team interviews will be conducted in person at the event.
