General Info

Welcome to the 2024 PYRE Robotics January Qualifier!  We are excited to host you for VEX IQ Competition: Full Volume!

The event will be hosted in the main gymnasium at Plainfield Community Middle School.  Please enter through Door 17 (at the south end of the building).  Please see the Documents section for a map of the entrace and parking.

Agenda

The following is a tentative schedule:

  • Doors Open / Inspection Opens - 7 am
  • Skills Opens for Inspected Teams - 8 am
  • Inspection Closes / Event Meeting - 8:30 am
  • Qualification Matches - 9:30am - 11:30am
  • Lunch Break - 11:30am - 12:15pm
  • Qualification Matches - 12:15 - 1:40
  • Finals (Top 10) - 2:00pm
  • Awards - 2:30pm
  • Event Closes

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We will attempt to either delay or reschedule in the event of inclement weather.  If rescheduled to a time you are unable to attend, a credit toward a future competition we host will be provided.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

A refund will be given less the $5 RobotEvents fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refund will be given.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
