the African Robotics Championship is planned for students who are intersted in STEM and is open to all students who are intersted in innovation and engineering through robotics .

we invited all african students to participate on African Robotics Championship to improve thier STEM Skills through hands on robotics programms .

Volunteer

Description: Welcome volunteers and guests. Verify schedule, hand out materials, direct volunteers to appropriate locations. Answer basic questions about the facility and event. Can be a fast-paced role.

Activity Level: Moderate (mix of sitting and walking).

Experience Level: Beginner. No experience required.

Health and Safety Policies

Some of the health and safety policies for the African Robotics Championship in Addis Ababa ,Ethiopia :

  1. Risk Assessment: Conduct a thorough risk assessment of the event venue, activities, and equipment to identify potential hazards. Implement appropriate control measures, such as barriers, safety signage, or protective gear, to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of participants and attendees.

  2. Emergency Preparedness: Develop an emergency response plan that outlines procedures for medical emergencies, fires, and other potential incidents. Clearly communicate the plan to all staff members, participants, and attendees. Designate specific individuals or teams responsible for implementing the plan and conducting regular drills to evaluate its effectiveness.

  3. COVID-19 Safety Measures: Given the ongoing pandemic, enforce strict protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This may include mandatory mask-wearing, regular sanitization of common areas, physical distancing measures, and temperature checks at entry points. Collaborate with local health authorities to ensure compliance with the latest guidelines and regulations.

  4. First Aid and Medical Support: Ensure that well-equipped first aid stations are readily available throughout the event venue. Train a team of qualified first aiders who can provide immediate medical assistance if needed. Establish partnerships with nearby medical facilities to ensure prompt emergency medical care if required.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
