World Robot Contest has successfully held nine sessions since 2015, attracting nearly 300,000 contestants from more than 20 countries around the world. After years of accumulation and growth, the competition system has been continuously improved, the competition content has been continuously enriched, and the scale of participation has been continuously increased. It has developed into an official and professional competition in the field of robotics with extensive influence at home and abroad, and has been widely praised by major mainstream media as the "Olympics" in the field of robotics.
The "Youth Robot Design Competition" continues to focus on the future development direction of global robot technology and industry. The competition content is closely related to the application requirements of robots in various fields. The competition aims to fully cultivate the comprehensive abilities of young people in team collaboration, strategic division of labor, hands-on practice, etc. through the competition activities, stimulate the research and innovation spirit of contestants, effectively promote the organic integration of production, learning, research and application in the field of robotics, contribute wisdom and solutions to the development of global robot technology and industry, and become an important force to promote the reserve of global innovative talents, scientific and technological talents, and skilled technical talents.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
Teams will be notified, via email, if any event occurs that would jeopardize the World Robot Contest Championships 2024.
Refund and Payment Policies
The World Robot Contest Championships 2024-Beijing Division is FREE of event registration fee.
If the event is suspended or other force majeure, the participating teams shall bear the refund and loss of transportation and accommodation by themselves, and the event host or REC foundation shall not bear any responsibility.
Judging Format
Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply.
- No Judging
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
- All Remote Judging - The Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, and Engineering Notebooks will be submitted to judges digitally via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. Initial Interviews and Notebook submission deadlines may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
- Remote Initial Team Interviews / In-Person Engineering Notebooks: Initial Team Interviews will be conducted remotely, possibly before the date of the event. Engineering Notebooks will still be submitted in person the day of the event to be evaluated by judges.
- Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
