Welcome to the National Qualifier hosted at Rivercrest Christian College in Clyde North! We extend a warm welcome to all participating teams and wish you the best of luck in this pivotal competition. Get ready to showcase your robotics skills, innovation, and teamwork as you compete alongside other talented teams. Below is important information to ensure your participation goes smoothly and you have an enjoyable experience. Please take note of the following details:
Event Location: The robotics competition will be held at Rivercrest Christian College in Clyde North, providing an excellent venue for teams to demonstrate their skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
Event Date: 12th of October, 2024
Event Timing: To allow teams ample time to prepare for Nationals, the event schedule has been adjusted. Please stay tuned for specific timing details closer to the event date.
Engineering Notebook Submission: Judging for the engineering notebooks will be conducted online. Teams are required to submit their notebooks in a digital format prior to the event.
Lunch Options: Lunch will be available for purchase at the event. We encourage all participants to take advantage of these options to stay fueled and ready for the competition.
Eligibility: This event is exclusively open to teams from Victoria, with the exception of teams from Albury, NSW.
Support: The event will be supported by EMU 5 and LaTrobe Robotics, ensuring a well-organized and memorable competition experience.
RECF Pilot Program: This event has This event has 10 qualification spots to the National Championships. Out of these 10 qualification spots, up to 5 can be won by non school associated teams.

Volunteer
We invite teams to contribute to the success of the robotics competition by providing volunteers to assist with various roles throughout the event. Your participation as volunteers will greatly contribute to the smooth operation and fair execution of the competition. We appreciate your support in advance!
Volunteer Roles:
- Refereeing: Volunteers will assist in refereeing matches, ensuring fair play, and maintaining game rules adherence.
- Queuing: Volunteers will help manage team queuing and assist in coordinating match schedules.
- Technical Inspection: Volunteers will work alongside a trained leader to conduct technical inspections, ensuring that robots meet the required specifications and safety standards.
- Judging: Volunteers will join trained judges in evaluating team performance, innovation, and design during the competition.
Please note that all volunteer roles will have experienced leaders who will guide and support them throughout their duties.
Requirements: For the safety and security of all participants, all adults interested in volunteering must possess a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) in accordance with our child protection policy. This check ensures the protection and welfare of all participating students.
Volunteer Submission: If your team is willing to provide volunteers for the event, please submit the names of the volunteers to Travis Burroughs at [email protected]. Travis will coordinate the volunteer assignments and provide further instructions.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
This event will be canceled if environmental conditions compromise the venue or travel to the venue.
Refund and Payment Policies
If a team wishes to withdraw from the tournament, they need to do so 72 hours prior to the event start time. Teams that do not withdraw within the given time frame will be billed for the event. Schools with outstanding invoices will be waitlisted for all events until payment is received.
Judging Format
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
