Join Us for the Stamford Open Scrimmage!
We are excited to announce that the Stamford Open Scrimmage will take place on Saturday, November 9th, from 9 AM to 3 PM at Stamford American School HK. This event aims to unite VEX teams from across the Greater Bay Area in a spirit of friendly competition and community engagement.
Not only is this a fantastic opportunity to compete, but it's also a chance to practice and refine your strategies in this season's game format.
As our inaugural robotics event, we look forward to welcoming teams and spectators alike. Don’t miss out on this exciting day of innovation and collaboration!

Top 16 Teams compete in a single-elimination, teamwork tournament. Winning pair recieves the Innovation Award. If time permits, then a head-to-head driver skills challenge between the two winning teams will take place. (7 games total, 8 if final head-to-head)
Alliances are based on mixed-ability (seeding from Qualification Round) as to focus on collaboration. Ex: Seed 1 teams alligns with Seed 16, Seed 2 with Seed 15, etc.

No team will get more than 1 award.

Winning alliance (2 teams) in the “Innovation” Bracket
Scholarship Award (3)
Top 3 Scorers* in the “Scholarship Round”
*If a team in the top 3 already won the Innovation Award, any remaining Scholarship awards go to 4th place, then 5th place.
Integrity Award (2)
Decided by the Stamford Staff volunteers
-given to a team that showed exceptional sportsmanship, conflict management, etc.
Courage Award (1)
Decided by the Stamford Staff volunteers
-given to a team that rose above adversity, showed great strength in character and positive attitude
Compassion Award (1)
Decided by the Stamford Staff volunteers
-given to an exceptional student volunteer (non-competing)

If the event is called due to bad weather, notice will be sent out ahead of time with a plan for rescheduling.

Eight Awards will be given (based on the 5 Stamford Values):
