General Info

1165 Robotics is the independent program of Caution Tape Robotics. We are a dynamic, student-run VEX V5 robotics team dedicated to innovation, leadership, and community engagement. Our program empowers students to take full ownership of their journey by managing every aspect—from fundraising to community outreach. Through hands-on experience, students develop technical skills, teamwork, and entrepreneurial know-how, all while competing at the highest level in VEX Robotics. Join us to be part of a program truly built by students, for students, where the future of STEM is in their hands.

As part of our mission to create open access to robotics education, we proudly host the Caution Tape VEX IQ Robotics Competition Winter Qualifier. This official VEX event plays a vital role in our fundraising efforts. 100% of the proceeds from this event go directly to our outreach efforts, supporting youth who may not have the privilege to participate in paid stem programs. Your participation helps us continue this unique, student-led initiative.
