Dear Participants,

Congratulations on successfully registering for the 2024-2025 Atlantic Region VEX IQ Competition Qualifier at the United Community Center (UCC) in Fredericton, New Brunswick! This event offers an exciting opportunity for provincial teams to qualify for the Atlantic Regional Championship through elevated competitive experiences.

Please take note of the following important guidelines for all attendees, including parents, coaches, mentors, and students:

  • Indoor Footwear: Only indoor shoes are permitted in the main gym, including the competition field and pit areas. Bleachers are the only exception.
  • Refreshments: Water is the only beverage allowed in the main gym. No food or drinks are permitted.
  • Dolly Wheels: Ensure all wheels of dollies entering the main gym are cleaned beforehand.
  • Robot Maintenance: Building or repairing robots on the gym floor is prohibited, and tools must not be left on the gym floor.

  • Review the rules, code of conduct, and inspection checklist.
  • Check the VEX Forum and Q&A for any official rule updates or changes.
  • Carefully read all the information in this tournament posting.
  • Review the award descriptions and criteria that will be presented during the tournament.
  • Prepare for your interviews with the judges—check the awards tab for details on what will be awarded.
  • Ensure you have the latest version of your firmware.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If inclement weather poses challenges, our aim is to proceed with the tournament as scheduled. Timely updates will be distributed to all participating teams through email.

Ensure that the email and/or phone number you provide can be reached outside of regular office hours, as we might need to reach out to you in case of emergencies.

Refund and Payment Policies

Cancellation and Refund Policy

If the Event Partner cancels the event:
A full refund will be issued.

If a Coach/Mentor registers for the event but then withdraws or does not attend:

Teams will receive a full refund minus a 5% administration fee if they cancel by noon on Friday, January 10th.  If a team can be found to replace your team after this date then a refund will be given."

Payment Information

Robot Events does not accept payments for events outside of the U.S., and tax calculations may be inaccurate. Please make payments via e-transfer to [email protected].

Payments are due by 5 PM on January 24, 2025. Teams that have not paid by the due date will be moved to the waitlist. Any teams that do not complete payment within these guidelines will forfeit their registration spot, which will then be opened to other teams.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. .
