General Info
Welcome to the Show Me Gateway VEX IQ Robotics Competition Signature Event 2025!
Join us for the Show Me Gateway VEX IQ Robotics Competition, Missouri’s first-ever Signature Event, held at the St. Charles Convention Center. This event is a collaborative effort powered by Gateway Science Academy of St. Louis, Reeds Spring Schools, and Frontier Schools, and is designed to offer a high-quality experience for teams, coaches, and families.
This event is designed to attract high-performing VEX IQ teams from across country and beyond. With a championship-style setup inspired by the VEX Robotics World Championship, the event will include elevated fields, pit areas, a formal team procession, and a well-organized layout. The competition will be supported by a team of experienced and dedicated volunteers to ensure a smooth, fair, and engaging experience for all participants.
With the VEX Robotics World Championship coming to St. Louis next year, this event offers a great opportunity for teams to get familiar with the host city while also competing for a spot at the World Championship.
*This event will qualify teams for the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championship through the following awards:*
-
Excellence Award (1 spot)
-
Teamwork Champions (2 spots)
Additional details, including hotel, venue maps, schedules, parking, and food options, will be shared with registered teams as the event date approaches.
We look forward to welcoming you to St. Louis for this exciting and meaningful competition experience.

Event Policies
Practice Fields:
We support the REC Foundation's Student Centered Policy. To help create an experience similar to VEX Worlds, our event will have six (6) closed practice fields available for students only.
- It will be monitored by volunteers and timed for 6-8 minute rotations depending on the length of the line.
- Team members should have every opportunity to collaborate and determine what they believe is the best approach and strategy for their alliances.
- During finals, the practice fields will be prioritized by match order.
Field Resetting
- After teams have agreed and saved the scores, they will be expected to reset the fields. This will be verified by the referee and/or the field volunteers. However, each team is expected to make sure the field is correct before the "Thumbs Up" signal is given to the referee.
