Thank you for registering for the 4th annual Kirkwood District VEX IQ event, Mix and Match. We are excited to see you. 

Important:

We need all teams to bring a game field and elements. Additionally, we need all schools to provide at least 2 adults volunteers to assist with judging and/or to be a referee.

We are looking forward to seeing you all this weekend—here are a few reminders and details.

We are expecting 33 teams for this event! Doors will open for traveling teams and early risers at 8 am. Matches and Judging will begin about 9:15 am. All judging will be in person. Please remember to bring engineering notebooks with you. Additionally, review the G1, G2 rules with your coaches, parents, and students. 

Parking is limited in front of the school; however, there is a large parking lot in the back of the school off of Missouri Ave. (see attached map). The doors in the back of the school will not be open; therefore, drop off/unload in the front of the building first and then park in the back. 

Concessions will be provided - exact cash or Venmo only, please.

large size candy - $2.00 each

granola bars - $1.00 each

chips - $1.00 each

water - $1.00

pizza (at lunch time) $2.00 slice

Please remember to bring a game board and elements along with a couple of volunteers. We still need help with queuing, judging, scorekeepers, and field resetters. sign up here

Volunteer

No experience is required for most of our volunteer positions.

However, volunteers should have an interest in and enthusiasm for robotics.

A hospitality room will be provided to all working volunteers with complimentary snacks and drinks.

Please provide at least two volunteers per team to help support the event and provide fairness.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If inclement weather occurs or an emergency arises and the tournament needs to be canceled or rescheduled, we will notify all participants of the changes first thing in the morning. 

Refund and Payment Policies

Teams will be refunded their full entry fee if the Event Partner cancels the event. If canceled due to weather (minus the $5 for the robot events fee).

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend, they will not receive a refund.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging—The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in person on the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
