General Info

Welcome to the Greenwich Academy VEX IQ Mix and Match Tournament.   This event is a qualifier for the VEX IQ Challenge Connecticut State Championship! We look forward to having you join our event and a great day of robotics!

  • A few items to consider:

    • Lunch will be available for pre-order.

    • Snacks will be available for purchase in addition to slices of pizza.

    • Remember to bring your Engineering Notebooks! A physical copy must be printed for submission.  Digital versions are NOT accepted.

    • Registration will begin at 7:15 am.  (Doors open at 7:00am) 

    •  Teams running late must contact the event partner (You)

    • Please make sure all of your teams/participants have completed the Participation Legal Release form for all participants prior to arrival. This can be done at Robotevents.com.

Tentative Schedule

  • 7:15 am-  Doors Open and Registration Begins

  • 7:30 - 8:45- Inspection at the main competition fields

  • 8:45 - 9:00- Event meeting (at the main fields)

  • 9:00 -12:00- Qualification Matches and skills matches begin/ Skills Fields will be open

  • 12:00-12:30 Lunch (We will run qualification matches through lunch, but the skills field will close)

  • 12:30-2:00 Qualification Matches and skills matches continue/ Skills Fields will be open

  • 2:00 - 3:00- Finals Matches

  • 3:00- Awards

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Please monitor this tab for any emergency or bad weather announcements.  Team advisors will be emailed and/or called.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be available but the refund does not include the $5.00 that RECF charges. Total refund will be $70.00. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: NO REFUND is given

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event.

Teams MUST bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

No day of printing or digital submissions will be accepted.
