General Info
The Jackson-Madison County School System is honored to host its first district league at the Malesus STEM Innovation Center (610 Bolivar Hwy, Jackson, TN 38301). This building is the former Malesus Elementary School. The teams will receive additional information via email closer to the tournament.
Please note that JMCSS will follow standard district protocols for safety and security at this event, which include having all individuals go through a metal detector upon arrival and complete a bag check.
IQ teams will compete in Innovation Hall while the V5RC teams will compete in the Malesus gym. League sessions will be held on October 14, October 21, and November 4, with the Finals session and judging on Saturday, November 15.

Tuesday, October 21 (3:00 pm - 5:30 pm) - West Bemis, Rose Hill, Malesus, JCM-MS, Pope
Tuesday, November 4 (3:00 pm - 5:30 pm) - CMS, JASA, West Bemis, Pope
Saturday, November 15 (8:45 am - noon) - All schools will attend to compete in Finals Matches,
complete Skills, turn in their Engineering Notebook, & participate in judges’ interviews. The
awards ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11:30 am.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If the weather is severe enough to warrant canceling the event, notices will be sent to all participants as soon as possible.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
If EP cancels the event, refunds will be issued. However, refunds do not include the $5 processing fee collected by Robot Events.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event, then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Refunds will NOT be issued.
All registrations must be paid in full within two weeks after the team is registered, unless other arrangements have been made with the EP. Unpaid teams will be moved to the Waitlist two weeks after registration and may be added back in IF there is room on the roster. If your registration payment process takes longer than two weeks, clear communication will keep teams from being moved to the Waitlist.
Judging Format
- All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
