General Info

UCF Knightmare Robotics is hosting its first set of IQ events at the University of Central Florida. Our first event is for Elementary on December 20th.

This event is being held in the Engineering II Atrium, close to the center of campus and close to Garage C, which has free parking on weekends. Pits and competition fields will be inside the Atrium's large space, with 3 teamwork match fields and 2 skills field running all day.

Payments not made by December 15th risk being moved to the waitlist.

  • 8:00 – Doors Open | Check-In and Inspection Begin | Skills Opens
  • 10:00 – Check-In & Inspection Closes & Driver's Meeting
  • 10:30 – Qualification Matches Begin
  • 12:00 to 1:00 – Lunch Break
  • 1:00 to 2:30 – Qualification Matches & Skills Resume (Skills close at the end of the last Qualification Match)
  • 2:45 to 3:30 – Finals Matches
  • 4:00 – Awards

We are thankful that Knightmare Robotics and members of the Robotics Club of Central Florida are volunteering throughout the day.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the case of bad weather, we will follow up and replan the event accordingly.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Teams will be refunded minus a $5.00 fee that REC receives for the processing fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

The team will not be refunded.

Payment deadline is December 15th, 2025:

Teams that have not paid by this date risk being moved to the waitlist.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In-Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.

Notebooks are due on Friday, December 19th, at 12:00 PM EST.
