General Info

  • Welcome to the Walter Polson Middle School VEX IQ Mix & Match Tournament.   This event is a qualifier for the VEX IQ Challenge Connecticut State Championship! We look forward to having you join our event and a great day of robotics!

  • A few items to consider:

    • Lunch and snacks will be available for purchase.

    • Remember to bring your Engineering Notebooks! A physical copy must be printed for submission.  Digital versions are NOT accepted.

    • Registration will begin at 7:15 am.  (Doors open at 7:00am) 

    •  Teams running late must contact the event partner 

    • Please make sure all of your teams/participants have completed the Participation Legal Release form for all participants prior to arrival. This can be done at Robotevents.com.

  • 7:15 - 8:45 - Registration and inspection (Please hand in notebooks at the  registration table)

  • 9:00 - 9:15 - Event meeting, Announcements and Introductions

  • 9:15 - Qualification matches and skills matches begin

  • 1:30 - Skills matches end

  • 2:00 - Qualification Matches end 

  • 2:00 - 2:30 - Finals Matches

  • 3:00 - Awards

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

  • Please monitor this tab for any emergency or bad weather announcements.  Team advisors will be emailed and/or called.

Refund and Payment Policies

  • If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds will be available but the refund does not include the $5.00 that RECF charges. Total refund will be $70.00. 

  • If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: NO REFUND is given

 

Judging Format

  • All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams MUST bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges. No day of printing or digital submissions will be accepted.
