General Info

Hello and welcome to the season opener for the new VEX IQ season! We want to welcome you to the Jackson Prep Mix and Match tournament and look forward to teams coming and experienceing our campus and ompetition. The event is to be held in the cafeteria and pits to be determined. It is encouraged to bring chairs for the parents to sit and watch matches. The event setting will evolve over time as it gets closer, but expect a skills session in the morning, short break, tournament begins before lunch, lunch break, and then play through till the end of the tournament. See the agenda for times and schedule.

UPDATE:  We have a theme!!!! Marvel vs DC - kids can dress up as their favorite Marvel or DC characters and tables can reflect one, both, or a split of hte theme.  We are hoping to have fun with this and hope to see costumes.  We will be awarding some sort of trophy or prizes for the best table, and best costume.

Team interviews will be held at the tournament in the morning and hopefully end shortly after lunch.  ALL engineeinrg notebooks must be turned in via robotevents.com in a readable format.  If it is not accessable or not reachable then they will not be judged.  Tables are free to decorate and add displays to make their table look attractive and amazing, Notebooks Due - September 26th at 11:59pm

There will be concessions available, but there are many places nearby for food.  It is HIGHLY advised that the teams do not leave during lunch as our start times are going to be hard start times.

If you have any extra teams that are beyond the three teams per school limit, put them on the wait list.  If teams are not fully paid, or PO's not in the robotevents system, then you will be removed from the tournament.
