Agenda

4:00pm - 5:30pm - Check-In/Registration/Inspection

NOTE: All teams must be through inspection by 5:30pm. Due to dismissal times, we encourage elementary teams to arrive at 4:00pm to complete inspections prior to middle school teams arrival starting at 4:30pm.

4:30pm - Fields Open for Skills Challenges

NOTE:  Each team will be able to run a maximum of 3 robot (driver) skills challenges and 3 programming challenges. 3 fields will be available for Skills Challenge attempts from 4:30pm - 5:30pm, but only 1 field will be open for skills challenges during qualification matches (6:15pm - 8:50pm). Teams should attempt to finish as many skills challenges as possible before 5:30pm to limit the amount needed between qualification matches. The Skills Field will close at the end of the last qualification round (approximately 8:40pm)

5:45pm - 6:10pm  - Drivers Meeting & Welcome

NOTE:  We have an open tournament in the morning, we ask that teams plan to quickly clean up and transition out of the building so we can "flip" the venue for our Saturday morning tournament.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Teams will be notified as early as possible if it is determined that bad weather will cause a change in event-day plans. In the event of a cancellation, every effort will be made to reschedule for a later date. If teams are not able to attend the rescheduled date, entry fee refunds will be issued.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

Refunds will not be issued unless the event is rescheduled because of a weather-related event. In that case, refunds will be issued to teams that are unable to attend the new (rescheduled) date.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event, then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds will be given unless there is a team on the waitlist that can attend in the withdrawing teams place. In the event there is a team from the waitlist that can replace the withdrawing team, a refund will be given less the $5 that the REC must keep to cover their processing fees. For example, a refund of $55 would be given for an event that costs $50. If you have any questions about this policy, please reach out to the event partner.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
