General Info
Perry Township is hosting a Girl Powered Event this Fall to celebrate women in STEM careers. We will have stations set up around the competition area for girls to explore their interests, build confidence, and develop skills in robotics and related areas. We will have a volunteer staff of women from a variety of STEM careers in our community to support your students in a relaxed scrimmage and a fun day of STEM activities. Our goal is to have 4 rounds of teamwork challenges at a relaxed pace. We will have a skills field available for the autonomous and driving challenges. In the Pit area, we will have STEM stations manned by women in various STEM careers for our students to explore. Come on out and join us for a day of fun, learning, and empowerment.
Teams will need to figure out lunch on their own. We are not providing a lunch option for this event.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If bad weather causes the event to be cancelled, Event Planners will call the team coaches. The event will not be rescheduled.

This is a FREE event.
Health and Safety Policies
We follow current Board of Health Guidelines:
ILLNESS GUIDELINES – WHEN YOU CAN RETURN TO SCHOOL or school activities
- Fever/chills/generalized body aches – May return when temperature is below 100.4 F for 24-hours without fever reducing medication.
- Undiagnosed rash, especially if visibly spreading, oozing, or accompanied by an elevated temperature – May return once determined non-contagious by a physician. Physician guidelines for return must be followed.
- Eye discharge, crust, or bright redness of sclera (white of eye) – May return after evaluation by physician with return to school note and if indicated, 24–hours of antibiotic treatment.
- Vomiting or diarrhea – May return once 24-hours symptom free without the use of medication.
Masks will be made available upon request.

We are located a few miles south of downtown Indianapolis.
Guests should park in front of the school, entering from Thompson Road. Turn on Thompson. Turn on Brehob or Missouri. Enter door 1.
Teams and volunteers are welcome to enter the front or from the back of the school. Entering the back, turn on Epler. Turn on Missouri. Enter door 5.
Judging Format
This event is a scrimmage. We will not have official judging. We will have mock judges come around to team tables to provide a mock interview. The mock judges will provide feedback to your team. Please remember that official tournament judging is confidential, and no feedback is given. We are able to provide feedback because this scrimmage does not provide qualifying spots for regional competitions.
