General Info

Thank you for registering for the SOAR Robotics Trunk or Treat Tournament!

We depend on volunteers to help the tournament run smoothly!  We especially would appreciate anyone trained as a judge for design and engineering notebooks.  If you know someone who may be interested in volunteering to help, please contact event organizer Dr. Shari Hiltbrand [email protected]

Doors will open at 7:45 AM. While we will do as much preparation for the event the day before, there are always last-minute items to attend to, so please plan to enter the venue no earlier than 7:45 am.

Before the day of the tournament, email is the best method of contact as we are educators who work with students all day. On tournament day, please contact Shari Hiltbrand via the provided cell number. 

Tournament INFO:

Two game fields; Two Skills fields (depends on help from the community); space for four practice fields will be available as teams can provide them. 

Concessions for snacks only will be available, 8:00 am-3:00 pm. Please no bills larger than $20. A water bottle filler is available for filling water bottles. No drinks will be sold.

LUNCH: Each team or group is responsible for their lunch. A general map of local restaurants can be found here.

Volunteer

Volunteers are what make VEX events happen.  Volunteers receive breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day as well as a volunteer t-shirt.  Interested volunteers may contact Shari Hiltbrand at [email protected] 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The tournament will be cancelled due to Emergency/Bad Weather, and refunds will be given in case of cancellation.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Full refund will be provided

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refunds will be processed.

 

 

 

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
