General Info

The Western PA VEX VIQ Middle School Championships will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at PennWest Clarion University in Tippin Gymnasium.

This Digital Welcome Package will be updated throughout the season with useful event information.

All VIQ Engineering Notebooks will be submitted DIGITALLY to stay aligned with VEX Worlds requirements and students utilizing 21st century skills to create them. Engineering notebooks must be available for judges to begin their work on Monday, March 2.

9:30-12:30 - Skills Matches on All Fields

12:30-1:15 - Lunch/Break 

1:15-4:45 - Qualification Matches

4:45- 5:00 - Final Matches 

5:00-5:30 - Award Ceremony

Volunteer

We will be inviting teams from Western PA to involve their team coaches and mentors as volunteers this year. We will be emailing coaches early this season with information on volunteering opportunities.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We are working with PennWest Clarion for our best strategy in case of a cancellation. Our MakeUp plan will be posted ASAP.

Additional details around this will be communicated in the digital welcome package.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Full refunds will be given.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: Event Partners discretion.

Health and Safety Policies

We will follow Clarion University's Health and Safety Policies the day of the event.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.

Engineering notebooks must be available for judges to begin their work on Monday, March 2.
